that breaking news we told you about at the 3:00 hour. >> nhp investigating a deadly crash impacting a lot of people making their way from las vegas to pahrump. and chelsea thomas with the latest. >> reporter: marie, we just heard from nhp two minutes ago and the two people in the crash thank you for waking up early with us killed were elderly, theyre now on blue diamond road, 160 just outside of las vegas. this is a crash involving three vehicles in a construction zone on blue diamond road. this is what nhp tells us, a driver in a dump truck was hauling construction equipment. he apparently lost brake power, and he rear-ended the sedan and continued downhill and rear-ended a motor home and the

germany and both were killed and the driver of the sedan and dump truck driver were taken to umc and both are expected to be okay. here's what nhp had to say just a few minutes ago. >> obviously, when there's any fatalities, it's always tragic but to roll up on two, in an rv, possibly on vacation, tonight's have this happen, it's a tragedy all the way around. there is no other way to describe night you can see blue they're advising people not to take this route. if you're going to pahrump from las vegas or pahrump to las vegas, vice administer is a, you want to avoid this hill, because traffic is pretty bad this. investigation will be lasting a few hours. they said that the crash scene is four football fields long. i'll send it back to you guys in the studio. >> quite a mess out there.

afghanistan and one stopped in germany. the details now from terrorism alert desk. >> from the terrorism alert desk in washington, i'm michelle marsh. at least 20 people are dead and many injured in a suicide bomber attack in afghanistan. 10 of those dead are afghan police officers. the taliban is claiming responsibility for attack. a two day manhunt is over in germany. german police 22-year-old syrian plan who was planning an attack similar to those in paris and brussels. they recognized him from a wanted poster, tied him up and turned him in. and malaysian police have arrested 16 isis terror suspects that span six states. these arrests stopped a number of terror plots but would not
